Simon at Stuck In A Book has started a very interesting challenge where 'you post a picture which sums up your reading taste, or a section of it.' This should not 'include a book in it, or a character from an adaptation, or anything like that.' It can be a photograph or a painting etc.
This photo sums up my reading taste almost too well. A snapshot of the interiors of the grand, gorgeous former Viceregal Lodge in Shimla, now the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, this contains almost all the elements of my reading.
The building itself is a historical landmark where many crucial decisions have been taken during the Indian independence movement, including the Simla Conference that took place here in 1945. The classic British look of it is unmistakable, similar to the huge proportion of British classics that I love reading. The portrait of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, represents another aspect of my reading - my love for books on Indian history and biographies of Indian leaders.
In short, a brilliant meeting place of British and Indian styles, much like my reading taste :) The Viceregal Lodge is a place that I would absolutely love to visit soon!
Go ahead and put up photos of your reading taste too =)
